When Christina and Junu met on Bumble, they probably had no idea that their shared passion for music would lead to their wedding — and one of the most unforgettable parties of the year. With mutual friends and a deep involvement in Chicago’s DJ and local music scene, it’s no wonder their wedding was filled with vibrant energy and endless beats.
Booking 828 Planning’s month-of coordination package through INDUSTRY was a no-brainer for this dynamic duo. Living in Chicago, they wanted to ensure every detail of their wedding in Indianapolis was wrapped up perfectly in the final stretch of planning. They entrusted 828 Planner, Alisa, to made sure everything flowed smoothly, so that they could focus on what mattered most—celebrating their love with those closest to them.
A Ceremony as Unique as Their Love
Christina and Junu opted for an intimate ceremony, skipping the traditional wedding party to keep the focus solely on their union. The rehearsal was held just moments before the ceremony in INDUSTRY’s client suite, a fittingly laid-back approach for this laid-back couple. The simplicity of the ceremony contrasted beautifully with the dazzling decor that would soon transform the reception space into a disco wonderland.
A Disco Dream Come True
The reception was where Christina and Junu’s personalities truly shined. Guests were greeted with a long, luxurious S-shaped couch beside the dance floor, inviting them to lounge in style. The Vegas-inspired tables were draped in disco fabric tablecloths, with brightly colored napkins and disco ball napkin rings adding to the festive vibe. Feather LED centerpieces completed the look, casting a playful glow over the tables.
Christina showcased her creative flair by arranging all of the florals herself! In addition to the beautiful arrangements, the metallic backdrops for the ceremony and DJ booth and bead curtains surrounding the dance floor set the stage for a night of non-stop dancing. Shimmery cocktail tablecloths were illuminated by multi-colored LED lights, adding a touch of magic to the room. Each table was named after significant places and moments in Christina and Junu’s relationship, making the seating arrangement as personal as it was stylish.
Capturing Memories at Newfields
Before the reception kicked off, Christina and Junu took some time for off-site photos at Newfields, a beautiful setting that perfectly complemented their big day.
The Party That Never Stopped
But the real highlight of the night? The crowd. Dressed to impress in disco attire, guests fully embraced the 70s theme, bringing an infectious energy that carried throughout the evening. A soul train line snaked its way across the dance floor, with laughter and cheers echoing around the room. Christina and Junu themselves even took turns on the turntables, showing off their DJ skills and keeping the party vibes alive.
Their DJ and close friend spun tracks that kept the dance floor packed until the very end. It was a true testament to the couple’s love for music and their ability to bring people together for a night they wouldn’t forget.
