Some love stories are simply meant to be, and Katherine and Derek’s is one of them. After fifteen years together (!!), this incredible couple celebrated their next chapter surrounded by friends, family, and timeless décor that perfectly matched the modern-meets-industrial charm of INDUSTRY in Indianapolis.
The couple worked with our in-house team, 828 Planning, to ensure every detail of their wedding day blended elegance, fun, and personality, to truly reflect who they are as a couple.
A Classic Ceremony with a Modern Touch
The ceremony design was a study in timeless simplicity. Four sleek white draping panels framed the altar, softening INDUSTRY’s industrial architecture while keeping the focus on the couple. White roses, baby’s breath, and fresh greenery added a romantic, organic touch to the modern space. It was the perfect balance between minimal and magical; the kind of ceremony you never forget.
A Reception That Sparkled (Literally!)
When it came time to celebrate, the party truly came alive. Katherine and Derek brought in an amazing light-up dance floor from Garcia Party Rentals, instantly transforming the room into a high-energy dance haven. Guests couldn’t get enough of it, especially paired with light-up wands that were passed around to make the dance floor even more fun (and photogenic!).
Behind their head table, INDUSTRY’s signature market light wall glowed beautifully, creating the perfect backdrop for toasts, laughter, and countless photos.
Desserts, Pizza, and All the Crowd Favorites
Instead of a single cake, the couple opted for a decadent dessert spread displayed on INDUSTRY’s in-house dessert plates. From cookies to cupcakes, there was something for every guest’s sweet tooth.
Dessert wasn’t the last bite of the evening; Katherine and Derek surprised everyone with Papa John’s pizza and breadsticks for a late night snack to keep the energy going long after the last slow song.
A Private Moment to End the Night
As the night drew to a close, Katherine and Derek shared a private last dance, soaking in one final moment together on the glowing dance floor before joining their guests outside for a sparkler exit. It was the perfect ending to a day filled with love, laughter, and fifteen years worth of memories.
